Description:
Mechanical device that provides powered consistent chest compressions in lieu of manual coronary perfusion pressure (CPP) for a patient in cardiac arrest.
ImportantFeatures:
Powered device. Able to operate without intervention once installed. May be attached to a backboard.
Operating Considerations:
Must be properly placed and secured in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, including consideration of patient's size and weight. Consider power requirements (see Section 10 for information regarding generators, batteries, alternate power, etc.).
